bedroomsessions's music...

Hi there, I'm Jim. I had another profile but it went wrong so here's my new one.

I decided on the name Bedroom Sessions as that's where I compose and record the majority of my musical ideas. And that's what they are at the moment - ideas. But very soon they'll turn into full songs and then you'll be able to listen!

Instroduction

This was a quick instrumental piece I did with a few leftover bits of various songs. I'd been listening to a lot of Pink Floyd prior to this track and I think it shows. I'm really not sure how to expand upon this track so I reckon it would be a great intro song.

Really wanted to bring out the bass in the song but unfortunately it either distorted horribly or sounded crap. So turn that bass up!

Le Chanson

An instrumental song I wrote for a girlfriend of mine. Dug the MIDI file for this up the other day and ran it through Melody Assistant to see what it sounded like.

I'm still pretty proud of this, despite there only being a guitar and violin present. Still, I think it's a good instrumental track.

Slowhands

Literally wrote this little ditty in five minutes and thought I'd record it and touch it up a little.

I'd been listening to The Bends on the way back from work, and for some reason really noticed the falsettos. Thought I'd try and combine the essence of that with a jazz-sounding piece. I may expand upon this at some later date but I just wanted to get something done in the meantime!
